That role she is singing brilliantly is an out-and-out coloratura soprano role and one normally only tackled by sopranos with many years of classical music voice training. {My wife was an operatic coloratura soprano so I know.} And Linda Ronstadt, she of "Blue Bayou," gives an outstanding performance. I still marvel at it.

I've had a crush on her for a very long time. I lived in Macon, GA and would surely have gone to that performance in Atanta, but alas I had just been called up by the Army at that time and was at Ft. Bliss,TX. Luckily I was able to catch a concert of hers in Athens, GA earlier when I was in school. I especially liked the country influence in her early songs but she was so versatile she could do anything. Confining her efforts to a single genre would have been a terrible mistake.
